My goodness, my Guinness® gave me a (belly) “hangover”!
Don’t go overboard this St. Paddy’s Day! Nothing compares to an evening of celebration, but that doesn’t mean that you have to drown your good time in alcohol. Most beers are at least a hundred calories and many beers of the darker variety are about a hundred more. Frequent beer drinkers add thousands of calories to their yearly intake, and those calories add up to substantial weight gain. It’s okay to drink a beer. It’s not okay to drink six! Why not chase this year’s toast with a glass of sparkling water served with a splash of fruit juice?
By the way, hangovers hurt! Your body doesn’t want to go through the wringer every time you feel like partying it up. Practice moderation and those painful “morning afters” will be history.
